Tammy Abraham CAN play for Wolves despite already figuring for Chelsea and Aston Villa this season

TAMMY ABRAHAM can join Wolves this month – despite having already played for two teams this season.
England striker Abraham is on the brink of completing an £18m move to Molineux this month.

The 21-year-old is now set to hold talks with the Midlands club as he looks to cut short his loan deal with Aston Villa mid-season.
But there have been claims the forward would not be able to play for Wolves due to a technicality in Fifa transfer regulations.
Under the rules, players are not allowed to play for more than two teams in any one season.
Some fans have questioned whether Abraham would contravene those rules because he has already turned out for Chelsea and Villa during the current campaign.

The striker also came on as substitute for Chelsea during the Community Shield clash with Manchester CityTimes Newspapers Ltd
The striker came off the bench for Chelsea in their Community Shield defeat by Manchester City back in August.
And he has since gone on to make a big impact at Villa Park, scoring 16 goals in 20 appearances for the Championship club.
But the FA decided the Wembley curtain raiser did not count as a first team or competitive match a decade ago.
Abraham’s appearance is therefore counted only as a “pre-season friendly”, allowing him to complete his move to ambitious Wolves.

The switch gives Abraham the chance to finally establish himself in the Premier League and prove he can be a success in the top division.
It also represents an opportunity to stake a claim for a place in England’s squad for the Euro 2020 qualifier that start in March and the summer Nations League tournament in Portugal.
Abraham made two appearances under Gareth Southgate in 2017, in the friendly draws with Germany and Brazil, but has not figured since.

Chelsea accept £18million Wolves bid for Tammy Abraham who is set to end Aston Villa loan

The deal would see Abraham cut short his season-long loan move in order to finally get a permanent move to a Premier League club.
It is a huge statement from Wolves who will begin speaking to about the 21-year-old to negotiate personal terms before the weekend.
Abraham has made a major impact during his time at Villa after struggling during a season on loan at Swansea last season.

He is currently in a rich vein of form which has seen him hit 12 goals in his last 10 matches to help Dean Smith’s side move back into play-off contention after a poor start to the campaign.
Wolves think Abraham can add extra to their attack as they look to reach Europe in their first season back in the top flight.
It is a massive blow for Villa who thought that their package for Abraham would keep him happy to stay in their promotion campaign.

Abraham is on big goals and win bonuses plus a potential jackpot sum if Villa go up – on top of his £55,000-a-week salary.
But Wolves are offering top flight football now and the chance to be part of their growth over the next few seasons.
Abraham made just two substitute appearances for Chelsea having seen his path to first team opportunities limited.
He enjoyed a dazzling spell on loan at Bristol City in the 2016-17 campaign, form which persuaded Swansea to take him the following year but the forward struggled in a side which was eventually relegated.
But he still did enough to earn a call-up for two senior England appearances in the friendly draws with Germany and Brazil.

Christian Pulisic: Chelsea’s new £58million American signing started at non-league Brackley Town

CHELSEA’S new £58million star Christian Pulisic fell in love with football playing with a club in the seventh tier of English football.
The Blues have confirmed the signing of the Borussia Dortmund star in a deal which will see him spend the remainder of the season on loan with the German club.
Christian Pulisic is wanted by Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool

Arsenal and Liverpool had also been chasing the 20-year-old American but it is Chelsea who have come up trumps in the race to snap up one of the most sought after young players in Europe.
And Blues supporters will now owe a major debt of gratitude to non-League Brackley Town.
It was there that the American star spent a year of his childhood – and where he developed his love for football.
Pulisic was brought up in Pennsylvania but when he was seven his mother, Kelley, got the chance to move to the UK on a teaching exchange in 2005.

— Mark Pulisic (@MarkPulisic) January 23, 2017

The family ended up in Tackley, a small village eight miles north of Oxford.
Aged seven, Pulisic discovered his love of the beautiful game and joined the local club, Brackley Town, whose men’s team were playing in the Southern League at the time.
Pulisic, who comes from a family of footballers, had already started to play in the US, but it with the Northamptonshire club where his love of the game grew.
Pulisic told the Daily Mail in 2016: “A lot of people don’t realise but it really brought on my passion for the game.
The Borussia Dortmund ace  owes a big part of his development to non-league Brackley Town – where he played for a season aged sevenEPA
“After school every day, I was just out for hours in the park, playing with my schoolmates.
“That’s really where my love for the game started to come alive and that was a big part of my development.
“I just started to love it so much and I said: “Wow. I’m pretty good! I think I can do something with this game.”
Dad Mark told Sky Sports: “We were football crazy.
“We travelled all over and took in all the nuances of what English football is – the craziness outside the stadiums, the chanting inside and signing the songs.
“Christian remembers it to this day. For sure it had an impact in the short time we were there.”
Pulisic was invited to go on trial at Barcelona’s La Masia academy but chose DortmundGetty
The family went on trips to Anfield, Old Trafford and White Hart Lane during their year in blighty.
After returning to the US, Pulisic continued to develop and became a jewel in the crown of the American system.
By 13 he was starring in the American U15 team, scoring 21 goals in 28 matches.
But his family always knew the talented teen had to be in Europe if he was to reach his potential.
At 15, his father Mark turned down the chance for Pulisic to join Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy, deciding to join Borussia Dortmund instead.
Mark told The Guardian: “When he was 15 and playing in the national sides, he realised he had to make the move quickly for the development of his game.
Pulisic’s father Mark had played professional indoor soccer in the USGetty
“Once, as parents, we felt he was ready and it was something he wanted, we went to visit Dortmund.
“All of us decided we felt it was the right move and the club was great with us, so we took the plunge. You have to go with your gut feeling.”
Mark was just one of a long line of footballers in the Pulisic family.
Both Mark and Kelley had played at the collegiate level in for George Mason University – with Mark going on to play professional indoor soccer for the Harrisburg Heat.
Mark would also later coach the indoor club Detroit Ignition.
His cousin Will is a goalkeeper and has played for both Borussia Dortmund and USA youth teams – he is currently at the prestigious Duke University.

At 17, Pulisic had burst into the Dortmund first team.
After scoring 10 goals and eight assists in 15 matches for the youth team, he was brought into the senior squad in January 2016.
He scored his first Bundesliga goal in April and, at 17 years and 212 days, became the youngest ever non-German to score in the division and the fourth-youngest overall.
Later that month he became the youngest player to score two goals in a single Bundesliga game.
Records also tumbled on the international stage.
Pulisic had made his USA debut in March 2016 and became the youngest American to score in a World Cup qualifier.
Pulisic has seen his playing time cut this year because of injury and the emergence of Jadon SanchoGetty – Contributor
He scored five goals for Dortmund last season and the season before, although this season he has seen his playing time cut.
Jadon Sancho has won some of Pulisic’s playing time with his blistering form, while the American has also struggled with a couple of injuries.
But he is still regarded as one of the brightest talents in the game for his age – and Chelsea believe he can develop into a top class player for years to come.
Should he do so, fans should be sure to say a small thank you to Brackley Town.
